Your original wooden flooring has a plethora of history and stories to tell, and we can transform them to their original beauty using traditional techniques and modern advancements!

All restoration is carried out in an extemely sympathetic manner and can involve replacing old joists, in-filling with reclaimed bona fide sourced replacement wood, and treating with preservation treatments.

Restoration of Oak Flooring

This existing oak flooring had suffered badly from subfloor damp and as a result needed lifting and replacing. The old ‘twisted’ boards and batons were removed and the concrete subfloor properly cleaned, prepared and coated in a damp proof resin, with new treated batons fitted. The new oak boards were laid using secret nailing and  new skirting boards were cut and fitted. I thoroughly enjoy working with the solid oak boards and being able to fully treat the subfloor against moisture damage as well was a real bonus 🙂
